Programme:

Sean Gregan, who missed the trip to Norway because of passport problems played a full game and three trialists, Staines Town forward Gavin Tomlin, former Wycombe midfielder Danny Senda and Czech Republic midfielder Mario Licka, were also featured in a squad that was largely made up of Junior players. The Leeds squad was: Tomi Ameobi, Robert Bayly, David Brown, Bailey Camfield, Scott Gardener, Sam Hird, Jonathan Howson, Charlie Hutton, Gregan, Licka, Jonathan Lund, Simon Madden, Ian Morris, Danny Rose, Senda, Ryan Serrant, Phil Stansfield, Tomlin, Joshua Vermooten, Mark Wilberforce, Ross Wilkinson. The young Leeds side made a couple of bad mistakes in defence and were punished by Scarborough. After nine minutes Sam Hird headed past his own keeper when under no pressure, and Scarborough doubled their lead five minutes before the interval when Danny Thornton ran through a static defence to lob the ball over Mark Wilberforce. The highlight of the game came six minutes into the second half when a wicked cross from Mario Licka was headed home by Jonathan Howson. Ian Morris and Tomi Ameobi missed further chances for Leeds whilst at the other end Mark Wilberforce did well to deny Lee Whittington when he intercepted a weak Sean Gregan back header. This incident apart, Gregan dominated the centre of his defence with his knowledge and experience. For Scarborough, former Mansfield midfielder Anton Brown and centre-back Dario Mazzola did well, while there was an appearance from former Boro player Gareth Stoker in the second half.
